TC headed to the bay once again, but this time it was here in the Valley. We attended the 2nd Annual Long Island Village Cook Off in Port Isabel. We had one call, we placed 1st in Beef Ribs. We had our faithful supports show up for some fun under the sun and great BBQ. We would like to thank Sergio Munoz of Hosana Home Health for sponsoring us for this event. We would like to thank the staff of LIV for making our stay a pleasant one. We will be returning next year.

Cookin' By the Bay - Fulton 6-4-10
Team Casanova returned to cook by the bay for the 3rd Annual Git Ur Grill On Cook Off to help out the Aransas Pass 4-H. There were 34 teams present with some heavy hitters in the mix. We got called once to the stage, 8th Brisket and Final Table in Chicken. We had time to hang out with Lenny from Coastal City Smokers and Johnny Rodriguez from Puro Party. Making new friends and meeting up with old ones is what it is all about. Fulton is a beautiful place to go and cook at, looking forward to cooking again next year! We want to thank Laco & Nellie Flores and their family for showing up to support us. My cousin Rey and his wife Gracie from Austin were also there hanging out with us. They were chosen to be judges and can testify to how great some of these teams were. Robin Torres & Letty Martinez also made the trip North to the bay. We would like to thank Roy Butler and his lovely wife for joining us. Butler Wood was the proud sponsor for this event.
San Juan - Cinco De Mayo Cook-Off May 1, 2010

We would like to thank all of the people that showed up to celebrate the 5 de Mayo with Team Casanova. The camp was all decked out Cinco de Mayo style. Hasta la proxima vez.....
TC returns to the brush country - San Isidro 4-24-10
The Lopez-Torres family always comes out to support us at San Isidro and this year was no different, Mama Torres and her family and friends came out and we had a blast. TC had been skunked the past 2 years, but not this year. TC received 2 calls, 1st Place Beans and Pork Ribs.
Team Casanova would like to thank Dr. Joe Gonzalez - UVAS (United Valley Autism Services) for sponsoring us in this event.
Los Compadres Cook Off in Sullivan City 4-24-10
Team Casanova was not the same for this cook off...we were missing one key person, Carlos Torres, the backbone of the team. TC wanted to help out the local catholic church and we made it to the cook off -1. Gilbert had a sprained ankle to top it off. The team was relying on Isidro "I might have to work" Casanova, Manuel "Did somebody call a wrecker" Garcia and Maribel "Pan De Campo Queen" Garcia to pull through. Well, pull through they did. We want to thank our faithful groupies that came out to support us. Rudy & Sandra Rivera and family, Jesus & Laura Ruiz and family, and my parents Gloria and Gilbert Sr.
1st Fajitas
1st Pan De Campo (cowboy bread)
1st Chili
2nd Beans
3rd Pork Ribs
TC would like to thank Felix Alaniz of Felix Meat Market for his sponsorship for this event.
